Shar Aslaksen has a passion for movement, spiritual practice and its application in daily life and has felt a calling to ministry since she was in high school. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Dance from Holy Names University, several Yoga certifications, and a few certification in Spiritual Direction. Shar began dancing as a child of the sixties with go go dancing. Eventually her dance path led to the Modern Dance world of the 1980 and 90’s. She danced professionally in the San Francisco Bay area. Dance took her to yoga, yoga dance and dance as meditation. Sha works at St. Francis in The Foothill as a youth and elder wrangler a.k.a Programs Coordinator prior she worked for Arizona Children’s Association with youth aging out of foster care, supervised the Prescott Valley Boys and Girls Club, and was the Youth Coordinator at St. Francis from 2010 to 2017.

While loving the ocean, Shar keeps getting called to the desert. She loves road trips, playing in the water, and exploring archetypes, especially through Tarot and semantics. Married to the love of her life, Andy, who keeps her laughing, Shar is also mother to Skye, who keeps her on her toes and is her inspiration. Shar and Andy live with their four-legged friend, Molly Mayhem in the Southwest.

Tana Jay von Isser has been dancing her whole life and between the ages of 3-18 she formally engaged with practices such as contemporary trapeze dance, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and some ballet. During her late teens into her twenties, Tana felt somewhat estranged from dance due to life events that exaserbated performance anxieties, heightened self consciousness, and disconnection from the body. Among the most important ingredients for healing she found, it was through Felice Espinoza’s Dance to Heal and Shar Aslaksen’s Dance Oracle practices that she rehabilitated her relationship to dance and her body’s innate wisdom.

Tana has been an instrumental contributor to the body of work presented here at DanceOracle.com. She has been a producer, a multimedia designer, consultant, and project manager.

Tana is also a healer, therapist, and coach. She has her own practice and has developed her own healing movement pedagogy utilizing her training in hypnotherapy with Dance to Heal and Dance Oracle practices,  see more at TonicWellspring.com
